Guaymas
The Municipality of Guaymas is located in the coast of the California Gulf, known as "The Pearl of the Cortez Sea" is an important port and city of the state of Sonora. It is located 117 kilometers south of Hermosillo, the capital of Sonora and north of Obregon City.
Guaymas is a port of Mexico called "high" in the Mexican Pacific coast, offers many tourist attractions, with a beautiful beach area in the region of San Carlos Bay and its surroundings and to a lesser extent the Bay Bacochibampo or Miramar located northwest of the port.

San Carlos Bay
Located 15 km north of the city of Guaymas, it is located on the coast of the Sea of Cortez. Surrounded by mountains and beaches, this region offers unique landscapes. Among its inhabitants many are foreigners, mostly American and Canadian origin who live there for a full year and their number increases during the winter, because of its propitious climate. You can practice different activities such as fishing, diving and hiking.
In the months from November to March an international show takes place for the arrival of the gray whale, which get so close to the coast and vessels that you can almost touch them.
Miramar
It is located in the Bay of Bacochibampo, this beautiful beach is located in the area of Guaymas, for its proximity to the city is commonly visited by the inhabitants of the port.
Estero del Soldado
In the process of being considered as a protected area, is located within 10 km of San Carlos, covers an area of 778 hectares divided between mangrove areas, the waterbody and a land part that consists of sand dunes and bushes.
San Pedro Nolasco Island
It is located 45 minutes from the bay. Considered sanctuary for the California sea lions and thousands of such as the brown boobies and pelicans, is one of the favorite places for those who practice diving and snorkeling.
In 2005, the island was classified together with other 244 as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO as part of the Islands and Protected Areas of the Gulf of California.
Cajon del Diablo
It is a special biosphere reserve that covers an area of 147,000 hectares. Its climate is very dry semi warm with rains in summer and winter, and the temperature is between 20-24 ° C. Their main economic aspects are irrigated agriculture, shrimp and fine scale fisheries, livestock and ecotourism.
It presents a type called Ichthyofauna. Making mention of 283 marine fish species of which are recognized 20 as cartilaginous fish and 263 are bony fish. There are 193 species that are restricted in rocky reefs, where 14 of them are endemic.
Canyon Nacapule
It is a small island of biodiversity located in front of the sea beaches of San Carlos, Nuevo Guaymas. Thanks to its semi-tropical climate, there are abundant palm trees and freshwater runoff. It is a natural wonder.
Because of the delicacy of its ecosystem and its conservation programs, the Canyon is privately owned and the owners, with the support of several government agencies have made this site an ecotourism project of adventure and exploration.
Thanks to the ecotourism activities you can enjoy, this place has several services for the comfort of visitors as security, parking, palapas, grills and restrooms. They also offer special services for groups such as guided tours and camps.
You can have a good time full of adventure, hiking, camping, throw yourself on a zip line, rappelling and climbing, fun is guaranteed.
Dolphinarium
It is located at km 5.57 of the Road San Carlos, open Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 to 15:30 hrs.
The Sonora Dolphinarium offers the opportunity to perform therapies with dolphins as well as being a tourist attraction that offers shows with dolphins and sea lions. It is a place to stay, entertainment and family recreation. Or to get to know the Dolphin Assisted Therapy (DAT)
Also features dolphin and sea lion shows, interactive swim with dolphins, presentation and experience with sea lions, marine fossils, observatory (acrylic).
Playa de los Algodones
Named for its beautiful white sand dunes that resemble cotton balls; It is ideal for snorkeling, fishing, use jet skis, windsurfing, horseback riding, swimming or play volleyball and football, throughout the year, as its average temperature ranges from 31 degrees Celsius in spring to 18 degrees Celsius in winter.
