San Jorge Bay and Islands
Mexican maritime incoming located in the northern coast of the State of Sonora, open to the Gulf of California. Located between Caborca and Puerto Peñasco has 130 km2.
Its islands were enacted Federal Reserve Area because of its biological importance as home to migratory birds in 1978. It was considered a priority for conservation due to the importance as habitat for birds, mainly Sterna antillarum and important colonies of Sula leucogaster and nesting birds in the Upper Gulf as Myotis vivesi; further, it is also important for Zalophus californianus.
The islands are some rocky mountains, apparently calcareous, within walking distance of the beach. The sandbar of 10km measures and limits the bay of San Jorge on the south end. The maximum height of the bay is 100 m and the 10m for the islands.
Diving
Transparency and immensity of the majestic Sea of Cortez, formed over 5 million years ago as a result of the San Andreas fault, which separated the peninsula of Baja California from the mainland, is home to over 800 types of fish and more than 3000 marine species such as sharks, whales, dolphins, crustaceans, invertebrates and mammals beings.
The Sea of Cortez gives us unique agencies in the world that is attributed to the Gulf there is a tropical climate and in the north, an area of warm water, even in its depths there have been discoveries of incredible life forms unknown until recently.
Diving enthusiasts attend these seas because of warm summer temperatures (27-31 ° C), with enough presence of sunlight, and because during the winter ocean temperature varies between 12 and 15 º C

Sonora meets beautiful and unexpected landscapes, impressive canyons located in the Sierra Madre Occidental, delineated sand dunes with giant saguaros, broad valleys that run through the region to the ocean and its coasts, and beaches with its beautiful sunsets that are worth admiring.
The hike takes us to see beautiful scenery, some interesting nooks and unexplored places that give us the opportunity to come into direct contact with nature.
This is a practice that has been expanding internationally with great success for our organization, offers a lot of exotic, remote and different points of novelty for residents and tourists.
The mountain hike environments allows us to travel to relaxed and beautiful natural landscapes where the sound of birds or affluent water from the streams and rivers are abundant.
Golf
In Sonora, various locations inside and outside of the big cities have been enabled to practice this sport, attracting the attention of both local and tourists thanks to the benefits associated with practicing this sport.
In addition, as the golf courses are usually far from the cities, the air is less polluted, so a more appropriate and healthy lung and blood oxygenation is achieved.

The state has a 580 km border with the United States, thanks to its excellent location, visitors can perform various tourist activities such as: hunting tourism, diving, sailing, fishing, fun beaches and colonial cities, among others. It also has interesting archaeological sites and ancient traditions that manage to capture the attention of tourists and locals.

The fisheries and aquaculture sector is one of the most important activities within the state, placing it on a national spotlight to production level; fishing activities nowadays depend and concentrate on 6 fishing ports, the most important tourist destinations such as Kino Bay, San Carlos and Puerto Peñasco.
In Puerto Peñasco, currently 3 major tournaments are held the first one "The cholla bay club" held in early July and 2 others organized by Tourism Development Peñasco, the first in February, March and April and the second, known as "Anger of the year "held in February and October.
Etnia Pápagos
The Papago Tohono o'otham in their language, which means "desert people" as they call themselves.
Currently the tribe inhabits desert areas of Sonora and Arizona, specifically in the municipalities of Caborca, Puerto Peñasco, Saric, Altar and Plutarco Elias Calles, but the vast majority are located in Arizona.
The O'odham language is closely related to the Pima and both are the Pimana yuto-nahua branch. Papago elaborate handmade carved wooden figures, pottery and baskets. Their pottery is rustic; the elaboration of the containers includes the collection of the raw material in mud banks, which filtered and mixed with fine sand and dry cow dung, the pieces are cooked in an oven with choya sticks.
Their best and finest handmade pieces are basketry. The "coritas" baskets and trays, and torote palmillo (desert plants that women collect, prepare and weave).
